Gugblogology?

Well, daughter Karen has laid down the gauntlet and I’m going to try a blog. She sets the bar quite high, but as she says, “Every blog is different.” I don’t even know what I’ll write about or if I will actually keep it up. One thing Karen did show me is I have to stop thinking everything is so hard to do. The trip to Italy we just completed with heavy influence by Karen is something I never would have done. Karen and sister Kathy had to convince me to go. It was a good trip.

So, what does a newly retired 57-year-old guy have to say? I’m guessing I’ll write about daily experiences, some personal insight into things that cross my mind and interesting (to me) facts and tidbits that I discover along the way.

Eventually I’ll have a log of my retirement experiences that I can read when I’m 90 years old and can’t remember who I am.
I’m used to writing about technical issues and trained to be efficient with words – That won’t work for this because in my judgment nothing would be “good enough” to put out there. So hold on as I accelerate and merge onto this blog highway. We are going on an explore!
