Rainy Days and Movies
The weatherperson was correct. It rained all day today. Yesterday I hinted that with the rain we might do another movie and that is what we did. I spent the morning on paperwork and laundry and installing our new pot and pan holder. We bought 2 wire storage drawers to put our large fry pans and skillets in. I put them on one of the large shelves in our laundry room. We moved our electrical appliances from there out to the new shelf in the garage. Somewhere in the future we will have a more logical and organized kitchen.
The movie we went to see was The Bucket List. The movie trailer makes the movie appear to be only about 2 men dying of cancer going out and doing wild things to live it up in their last months. In actuality the list is just the vehicle around which a friendship is built and a wonderful movie created. Everyone knows that the story is about 2 dying men – I won’t give away the plot – but I think the story is better appreciated by the older, closer to facing death crowd. This was confirmed when we walked into the theater and saw a sea of white hair in the audience. Being one of those almost eligible for the senior discount I thought Rob Reiner has put together a beautiful, funny and poignant movie. If you go see it bring some tissues - it is a tearjerker, but a good one.
So after not seeing a movie in months we go see 2 in 2 days. We will not go to a movie tomorrow.
