Only a little slower. I went to the doctor yesterday for a follow up from my sore arm. The arm is essentially better. My pulse, however, was 108! I’ve always tended to have a rapid pulse—it’s the reason I failed my draft physical and didn’t end up in Viet Nam. The doctor explained to me that when the heart beats too fast it doesn’t expand completely and pumps inefficiently. So he put me on a beta-blocker, usually a medication to lower blood pressure. He says it should lower my pulse. I go back in a week to see if it is working.
Penny and I had an “us” day today that ended when the battery in the car died. I didn’t think the battery was that old but it turns out it was 5-years-old. We used AAA to get a jump and I replaced the battery. It had a 100 month prorated guaranty that knocked $25 off the price of the new battery. We did get in Harbordocks and shopping before the battery died.
