This past week (Tues-Wed) saw me with a nasty cold that peaked just before I went to Jacksonville for the long MLK weekend. I still have sinus congestion and postnasal drip and now Penny has the cold just in time for our next bit of travel. This cold is a bad one and it holds on for a long time. I feel bad for Penny.
Our trip to Jacksonville was nice. I got in some good 1 on 1 time with Lucy but not so much with Sophie. Sophie is very jealous of any attention given to Lucy and it was tough for me to have any Sophie alone time. We spent a relaxed weekend with K&T and got down to High Springs to see C&C. We didn't get over to see Kerry this time but we will see her next weekend.
Yesterday when we returned from Jacksonville the cat feeder was empty and no cats were around. Later that evening we were visited by a big fat raccoon. I set the trap and to my surprise I caught him. So my first order of business today was to go release the raccoon. There still were no cats tonight.
Today we unpacked from one trip. Tomorrow we pack for the next one. I’m hoping Penny gets a milder version of the cold than I had.
