Tech Support

I am sitting here at7 PM watching my computer being controlled by Sanjid Golandaz from Bombay, India where it is currently 6AM.

I usually curse Symantec’s Norton antivirus for slowing down my machine but the company has great tech support. I have an antivirus program that covers 3 computers. I wanted to remove coverage from our old Dell and put it on the new HP. I couldn’t do this on my own. I elected the option to have Symantec call me at a specified time rather than wait 30 minutes or so to talk with them right away.

I received their phone call at the appointed hour, talked with Sajid, who understood the issue and knew how to fix it. I had to allow him to control the computer. So he is sitting there seeing my display from half-way around the world and fixing my problem.

Now the computer is protected under my Norton subscription. We truly live in a global comunity.
