Multi-Tasking

We celebrated Penny’s Birthday yesterday by shopping at the outlets and Fresh Market.  We suspended our diet and I made banana pecan pancakes for her for Breakfast and for lunch we went to Café Laredo and ate Mexican.  Dinner was popcorn and a 3-D movie (HUGO) at home.

The movie was great and the 3-D fabulous.

The diet lives on for a few more days as Penny puts together a similar but more manageable way to eat better for us.  Penny has been studying different diets out there and modeling one for us to follow.

Today I spent my time getting some supplies at Lowes and working on the front lawn.  I still have the garden watering system to do – I might get to that tomorrow.

In between working on the lawn today I had to go to Publix to get some fresh produce.  It’s also getting down to the wire on preparation for the River Run.  So, instead of driving to Publix I walked.  Before I left I measured the distance of the walk on Google Earth and the round trip was almost precisely 5 miles.  That’s the distance I wanted to walk today anyway so it worked out fine.  We finally had a nice sunny day today and it was a pleasant day to walk.  I’m planning a 7 mile walk for Wednesday and then a rest period before the 9.3 mile walk.
