What a great Christmas. The only thing that could have made it better would have been to have more family with us.
Sophie was the star today, but you have to expect me as a Grandpa to say that.
The day began with the opening of presents. Sophie got a big red wagon, which was an immediate hit. Tim got a Roomba Karen got a point and shoot camera to carry in her purse. After the presents we had a wonderful breakfast of hash brown casserole and easy-breakfast casserole. Then we went for a walk with Sophie in her wagon and Truman on a leash.
Lunch was Turkey and all the fixin’s. Then since it was 75 degrees out we went for a sunset walk on Jacksonville Beach. Lots of people were walking the beach and there was fog rolling in about 200 yards up the beach from us. The sunset was nice, too.

Today is also Tim’s birthday and we celebrated that when we got back to the house. Of course the celebration included more food—pumpkin role and brownies. We also found out that Sophie likes egg nog. Tim gave her a sip (regular egg nog, no booze) and ended up with her drinking his whole glass full. She got so excited drinking it. Karen fortunately had her video camera ready and recorded the priceless event.
I enjoyed the whole day. It was a very merry Christmas.
Tomorrow C&C will join us for lunch!
