I’ve been putting most of my time into finishing the bathroom cabinet for C&C. I’ve now got it finished and 2 coats of stain applied. It came out pretty good. As with everything there are a few flaws but I don’t thing they will detract from the finished product.
Yesterday we did take time to dance. Penny and I went to a Monday wedding of one of the couples from our church that we did marriage-prep with. It was a morning wedding- no attendants but a nice ceremony. The reception was at the Hurlburt O-Club where we were treated to a fantastic breakfast buffet. Eggs, bacon, sausage, salads, fruits and other breakfast things. Surprisingly (to me) everything tasted great! There were only a small number of young people there so the crowd was not as responsive to the DJ. He was a very active DJ. He would come out and join the dancing. He showed how to do the electric slide and then joined in.
Penny had to keep her distance from the speakers (ear issues) so we danced a romantic slow dance off to the side of the room while the DJ played Unchained Melody.
We haven’t spent enough money yet this month so we got new tires on my CRV today. Dragging a loaded trailer had worn the tires sooner than expected. We’re also going to need tires on Penny’s CRV soon. I don’t know if I should bite the bullet and do it now or just rotate and align her tires and see if we can get another 6 months out of them.
That’s it for today—not anything exciting going on—4 cats in the yard, a bunch of green tomatoes and looking forward to a family Christmas.
