Noon Update

Unlike yesterday I got up early today with the first order of business (after breakfast and putting the trash out) being the transport and release of the 2 raccoons .

I moved them and slid them into the CRV on my lumber mover. It worked OK. I used it as a ramp to slide the trap into the CRV. This was much Easier than lifting them in.

When I arrived at the lake the water had a layer of mist rising from it. In the early morning sun it looked as if we had arrived at raccoon heaven.

I went to my usual release point, opened the trap and with no hesitation the 2 critters took off.

The rest of the morning I worked on the deck and finished all of the top rail that will support the 100+ little rails. The neat part of the job was that I was able to use the deck in the process of building it. I set up my miter saw on the deck and did all my cutting there. I think the deck will work well.

After lunch it’s back to railing.
