Sunday Indoors

We have a crummy weather day today. It started out at 39 degrees, overcast and a stiff wind. Right now at 2 PM its still the same except the temperature is up a tad. Not a day to go outside and have fun. In a pre-recession era this would be a movie or shopping day. Now it was catch-up day. I’m seeing Lou tomorrow so moving catch-up day to today makes sense.

Penny’s not feeling well today so the day started with breakfast in bed. I spent the rest of the morning clearing my desk of paperwork and tracking our budget. Lunch in bed was Penny’s ravioli with meat sauce from the freezer. And now I am on the treadmill continuing my training for the 20K.

After this it’s back to catch-up stuff. I’ve got a lot of crap out of p[lace due to my kitchen cabinet storage shuffle and even last weeks laundry to put away. Retirement can sure be exciting.

Our county is going through a scandal of it’s own right now. The county sheriff was arrested in Las Vegas on money laundering and other charges. He was skimming funds by awarding phony bonuses to employees that they would then contribute to his gambling habit enabling “ charity”. We also have the city of Niceville suing the Air Force to stop them from bringing the F-35 to Eglin AFB. They claim it will be too noisy. I’d much rather put up with the noise (which is here
already and has been worst in the past) for the boost to the local economy.
