Thankful

The economy may have gone to pot. But the important and meaningful things in my life are going well. As I sat in church today watching Sophie charm everyone around us I said a prayer of thanks that my life is this way.

I have a wonderful wife. Our daughters have grown up to be good people and each has a partner that loves them and cares about them. Penny and I are enjoying retirement with no lack of things to do and so-far sufficient health to do most of what we like. Our family is close and likes being together.

Today Penny spent the whole afternoon making 2 meals for us to bring to Nana; lasagna and chimichangas. She also made extra for K&T to have. Tomorrow we will deliver the meals and Penny will cook.

I taught Sophie to say, “Oh boy!” and “Oh my!” today. Her “oh my” is really cute.
We all also made chalk drawings on Karen’s sidewalk with Sophie.
