I’m sitting here checking E-mail while waiting to head out to Harbordocks with Penny. The TV has The View on it and I’m actually cringing at the lack of technical and common sense the women on the show display. It worries me to think of how much of the population can’t think any more deeply on issues.
Here are the issues they talked about:
Bird strikes on airplanes—“Why can’t they just put a big hair net on the engine. It would get sucked in. Well they could make it out of steel.”
“How can salmonella get in pistachios? They are in a shell!”
“ If you have your Blackberry with you - you could find your car in a parking lot with Google Earth.”
It hurts to hear this stuff from a supposedly well-informed and educated panel.

ummm...who said they're well educated and informed? unless Barbara's on the panel, I certainly wouldn't go that far.
You're right Karen, I don't understand the qualifications of the women on the show. But that makes my worry even stronger--the audience doesn't laugh at these comments, they embrace them.
